Daniel J. Rothschild

Daniel is an associate at Aronson, Maysefsky & Sloan where he specializes in all areas of matrimonial and family law involving complex custody, equitable distribution, maintenance, and child support matters.

Before joining AMS, Daniel spent three years in a civil litigation firm, and then shifted his focus to matrimonial law at another well-regarded firm in Manhattan.  Prior to his legal career, Daniel worked in the financial services industry, and his background in finance enables him to navigate multifaceted issues that arise in cases involving the distribution of substantial assets.

Daniel is a member of the Family Law section of the New York State Bar Association where he serves on the Legislative Committee.  He is a former co-chair of the Moot Court Competition Committee at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Daniel received his B.S. in Economics from Northeastern University, and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.  While in law school, Daniel served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Marianne B. Bowler of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and as a law clerk to the Justices of the Administrative Law Appeals Division for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  He was a Note Editor for the Journal of Health and Biomedical Law and a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team.

Daniel serves on the board of the American Friends of the Salzburg Easter Festival.
