PRO BONO

We are mindful of our ethical obligation to do more as lawyers than simply represent our clients well.

We routinely represent clients from under-served communities in their family law matters.

We are active members and leaders of bar associations and professional organizations, among them the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Family Lawyers, the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and the Matrimonial Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.

We volunteer as lecturers and teachers at continuing education programs for judges, lawyers, appraisers, accountants and the public at large. We are frequently called upon by Courts to help resolve cases in the role of "Neutral Evaluators". Beyond the law, we are board members and active participants in community-based organizations that address issues ranging from the environment to inner-city education to health.

Through our affiliations with several New York not-for-profit organizations, we provide pro bono representation in family law matters to members of underserved communities.

Aronson Mayefsky and Sloan, LLP is one of only two New York matrimonial firms to be ranked in Band 1 by the respected British legal ratings publication, Chambers and Partners, and Chambers USA, in its Family/Matrimonial: High Net Worth Guide. We are also the only New York matrimonial firm to have two of its partners, David Aronson and Pamela Sloan, ranked in Band 1 as individuals.

Our partners have earned the highest ratings in both legal ability and ethical standards from Martindale-Hubbell, the authoritative resource for peer review also of legal professionals. Our lawyers are routinely selected for listing in lay publications such as Best Lawyers in America, Chambers & Partners and Super Lawyers.
